What we all wish Subway knew

That one feature we all want from the American fast-food chain Subway, but no one ever asked for it.

This lockdown has made me think about food more than ever before & so this other day I was thinking about Subway sandwiches. Subway is one of my favourite American fast-food chains in the sense that it offers me the freedom to choose my own ingredients & experiment with new combinations. I have been successful in ordering the perfect combination of sauces, patty & veggies only to forget it the next time.

There are times when I wish to not experiment & repeat the last combination. I wonder why they do not have a system in place to digitally record what their customers are ordering at their outlets? If you order online on Swiggy/Zomato you can choose all the ingredients you want & when it is delivered you usually get a receipt with details of the ingredients you ordered. I wish it could be extended to the offline system as well. Most outlets ask for your phone no & therefore your food preferences can be tied up with it. So the next time you go to an outlet you can directly ask them to repeat the last order. You can also manage multiple combinations on their website/app.

For Subway, it can help them better understand their consumer’s preferences in an area; it can provide critical insights for making food menu and adding entirely new categories.

Thanks for reading!
